While a number of larger, more generalized conferences have a customer-focused track, it can be challenging to find quality events that cater specifically to customer-facing professionals.

So we’ve done the work for you! Rather than try to present a comprehensive list, we’re recommending the best conferences in each of four categories: Customer Support, Customer Success, Customer Service (those tend to be geared more toward executive leadership), and Customer Experience, listed in date order under each.

The price ranges include group and early bird costs for at least one full day of conference activities for a non-vendor attendee (e.g., a la carte workshops may be offered separately at a lower rate) up to late registration costs for complete packages. All prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

A few event organizations produce a number of customer-related summits that cater to a range of industries throughout the year in various locations, so those are worth checking out as well, especially if none of the dates and locations listed below work for you.

When conferences aren’t in the budget

If conferences aren’t in the budget, you might consider:

  • Applying to speak: Various events solicit speaker applications throughout the year, and some pay speaker fees or at least offer other perks, such as a complimentary hotel room.

  • Volunteering: Some conferences need event volunteers, which can be a fantastic way to make connections and experience the event minus the registration fee. Contact the organizers to see whether they can use the extra help.

  • Scholarships: See whether your conference(s) of choice offer scholarships or sponsorships. They’re there for a reason!
