Helping Hand

When I worked at Acuity Scheduling - an online scheduling software - I received an email request one day from someone who ran a baseball league for young people, disadvantaged youth. They asked if they could use our free plan because the solution they needed required our highest priced plan, and they couldn’t afford it.

Managing volunteers takes a ton of time and effort, so having a tool that could take over all that manual work would allow them to dedicate their time to other important tasks. Luckily, Acuity was truly a human-first company, so I was able to offer them a year of our services for free.

Every year they’d ask, “Hey, can we have another year?” and we said yes. It felt really good to not just help the organization, but help all of the kids that would benefit from it.
